Vani is an AI voice receptionist built for Indian small businesses — salons, restaurants, kirana stores, EV dealerships. When a customer calls and you can't pick up, Vani answers in Kannada, Hindi or Tamil, books the appointment or takes the order, and sends a WhatsApp confirmation. Automatically. Within seconds.
Who built this
Vani is a product of Navamitra, a Bangalore-based software company. Navamitra means "new friend" in Sanskrit — and that's the standard we hold ourselves to. We build technology for shopkeepers who are too busy serving the person in front of them to pick up the phone. We've been writing code for a decade and watching local parlours, restaurants, and dealerships miss calls for just as long. Vani is the answer.
Why we built it
62% of Indian customers never call back if their first call goes unanswered. They book somewhere else — usually the salon on the next street. The big chains have receptionists; the local shop does not. Vani gives every shop a 24/7 receptionist for less than the cost of a cup of tea per call.
